The needs of our fishing guests are very important to us, which is why we have assembled this co-op of four large premier charter boats to work with K&G Lodge Twin Pines Cabins. We have completed another season as a group, and we have to summarize it as exactingly successful. Everyone who fished with us since 1998 has realized the tremendous benefits. The boats; “Top Gun” Captain Greg Gehrig, and “The Other Woman” Captain Ron Hill, Sr. All feature state of the art fish finding, navigation, safety and fish tackle. We assure all boats meet or exceed the latest U.S. Coast Guard Safety documentation, random drug test requirements and all are fully insured.

THE BEST PORT ON LAKE ONTARIO – OSWEGO Oswego offers the most consistent fishing on Lake Ontario. The reason is simple, the Oswego River which flows north into Lake Ontario. This River is the outflow for the Finger Lakes and Oneida Lake, generating substantial water flow year round, thus creating a fish magnet, which draws fish from all over the lake towards Oswego. Oswego Harbor is also a protected commercial shipping port; therefore, we have a safe haven for fishing during rough weather. Spring Brown Trout and fall salmon fishing trips are saved by fishing the protected harbor where as, other ports are limited watching the waves.
Saylor Bass Review Friday, November 12, 2004 10:41 AM
Hello Kris,
Sorry I did not get a chance to get back up to see you this Fall. I wanted to bring my boat back up there after I took it to Maine for a week. The drive home from Maine with the boat cured me of trailering the boat anymore this year. We had a house right on the most famous bass lake in Maine. Great sunsets, NO FISH.
I will talk to you early next year, but my plan now is to spend most of July and August up at your place and leave my boat there both months. I might look into leaving it in the water at the town dock.
If you want to use any of my testimony in your next brocchure to tell about the quality of the bass fishing up there, I'll write anything you want.
I fished probably 10 days up there this summer and caught on average 100 bass per day and we never fished outside of the harbor. Our best day was close to 200 legal bass in the area around the rock piles and in the river. We released every bass we caught all summer. My 87 year old father caught over thirty bass in one afternoon.Considering the very high water coming out of the river and the dredging in the harbor, I feel we caught these fish under less than perfect conditions on many of the days.Keep in mind we had never fished this area before without a guide.
The combination of very affordable and comfortable lodging, very excessable ramp, great area restaurants and the best smallmouth bass fishing anywhere in the east makes your location the best all around bass location in the Eastern US.
I would also be glad to help you if you ever need it at you booth at either Fort Washington or Harrisburg shows. It is a very busy time of the year for my business, but I am sure I could sneak a day off if I had to. I don't think Greg needs any help promoting the Salmon end of the business, but your area for growth would be more Eastern awareness of the quality of the bass fishing.
Next Summer I'll spend more time taking some quality pictures of bass we were catching. We actually took a video showing all three people in the boat with big fish on at the same time, but I have not seen it and my nephew said the quality of the video was not perfect.
Talk to you soon,
Paul
